An agreement made on_____________________ between part one being the artist and part two being the client, agrees to provide the entertainment on the mentioned date and fees stated in the schedule. The attached terms and conditions are an integral part of this contract and should be read and agreed before any signature is made.

Method of payment - Non refundable 20% deposit, balance on performance date. Cheques made payable to Steve Maitland.

Additional information / requirements specific to performance

(The artist will do their very best to accommodate special requirements such as specific songs and requests, but these cannot be guaranteed)

Deposit – as above 20% to guarantee booking monies to be paid to the address above.

Payment – please note cancellation terms below.

In the event that this contract is cancelled by the client

a) More than 30 days from the performance date no fee payable, deposit not refunded

b) Between 22- 30 days from the performance date; 25% of the final fee

c) Between 15 – 21 days from the performance date; 50% of the final fee

d) Between 8 – 14 days from the performance date; 75% of the final fee

e) Between 1 – 7 days from the performance date; the full fee will be payable

In the event that this contract is cancelled by the Artist, all fees paid by the client to be returned in full. In the event of illness the artist to make the client aware as soon as possible the potential issues concerning the performance date.

The artist warrants that all equipment is in good working order, fit for purpose, and in no way to cause danger to any other person(s). The artist will provide current PAT tested equipment and full insurance details to venue upon request for the client.

The venue shall be responsible to provide adequate electricity for the performance.

The venue to provide adequate lighting & performance area, where applicable.

The sound system, lights and PA to be provided fully by the artist.

No antisocial behaviour or abuse towards or harassment of the artist will be tolerated. If this occurs, the artist reserves the right to terminate their performance immediately and no refund will be given for any remaining time.

A private, secure changing area should be made available for the artist wherever possible.

The artist to ensure that cover of at least £2m via Public liability Insurance is in place, this certificate to be provided to venue or client upon request.

The artist shall be suitably and tidily dressed during their performance.

The artist shall be employed to perform according to performance times stated in the schedule above, if at the end of the performance times additional material is requested by the client this to be negotiated beforehand and extra payment to be made directly.

The artist agrees that the fee is inclusive of all expenses including travel to and from the venue.

The artist accepts no responsibility for non fulfilment, but every safeguard is assured.

No fees shall be payable to the artist for any day which this engagement falls for any reason of royal demise, national mourning, Flood, Fire, Epidemic, War, Strikes, lockout of any event deemed as an act of god.

The contract reflecting the terms and conditions as verbally agreed shall be deemed acceptable only when either;-

a) The contract is signed and returned within 7 days.

b) It is not exchanged within the prescribed 7 days and no written objections have been made within the period
